Established in 2021 by Simon and Tony Sottile and driven by a singular ambition to create a software to revolutionize the quantity takeoff process through the power of Artificial Intelligence. Takso Ai was conceived while Simon was completing his Masters at Queen’s University. This idea, coupled with Tony’s expertise, ignited the spark to turn vision into reality.
TaksoAi began after they forged a partnership with a prominent university to conduct a proof of concept. This endeavor validated their approach to themselves and the mechanical contracting industry. In 2022, their breakthrough led to a successful Seed funding round, capturing the attention and securing investments from some of North America's most prominent mechanical contractors and suppliers.
TaksoAi is currently leading the charge in reshaping the mechanical takeoff sector. Focused initially on Piping and HVAC systems, the company is dedicated to broadening its impact by gradually extending its innovative AI-driven solutions to the electrical and industrial sectors. This strategic move underscores TaksoAi’s ongoing commitment to enhancing industry standards through technological advancements, firmly positioning the company as a catalyst for change in traditional mechanical contracting processes.
